C-Ville

So its around 3 o clock pm on Tuesday and I start training at 6am on Wednesday. For some reason my training is at a store that's about 30 minutes away but luckily I was informed another girl has to train at the same store. Well I have no way to get to where I need to be so I call my boss to explain my situation with hopes of getting the girls number and setting up a carpool. It turns out shes training on different days so I had to let my manager know I would not be attending my first day of training. Shit happens, whatever. Since I happened to not have anything going on for a few days I decided to go with my cousin and two Nieces to Charlottesville where my cousin lives. Its about 2 hours from Hampton where I'm living. We get to Charlottesville and its like nothing I have ever seen. There were hills and mountains everywhere, for once I didn't feel like I was in a snow globe like I do in Florida. The scenery is absolutely gorgeous, everything is so green and bountiful. All the buildings look exactly like they do in textbooks about Old Time America. It was pretty surreal. At my cousins apartment we start to pack her stuff, the whole reason she went to Charlottesville was to start her move into a different place. Her apartment is really interesting. The shower is in the kitchen, there is no air conditioning but there is a cool corridor inside that connects all the rooms. Its is home to some pretty cool paintings and from what Ive heard some awesome run ins with other tenants. After moving some things we go and get some food, I'm pretty much ecstatic at this point because I know there is a Chipotle close by. There is nothing remotely close to Chipotle in Hampton. There isn't too much time left in the day so we go to my cousins friends house to crash out. However my Cousin was under the impression her friend was out of town. This was not the case. So back to the non air conditioned apartment it is. 4 of us staying in a hot studio apartment lead to me drinking lots of beer. I actually had a great (but hot) time. The next day we go get breakfast at a cool cafe and walk around downtown. Its really incredible, everything is made of brick and has so much character to it. After downtown we went to a winery. Wineries are the best by the way, I sat outside in the middle of no where by a lake drinking great wine that was made right there watching geese. The whole time I couldn't believe where I was. This lasted for several hours. We stayed another night at her friends house who had by this point left to go out of town. Three days of wearing the same clothes later I'm back in Hampton. I got my schedule worked out so I get to work on Monday at the store that's close to here. Life's going good, Ive done some really cool things and had some great experiences.
